I've been trying to get into Guild Wars again, but I just can't seem to be pulled to it like I used to be, but the moment I popped in EQ2, I was addicted, the sad thing is, my months subscription has run out and I'm way behind on the updates, so I doubt I'll play it again until I get Broadband in my area.
By the way, I'm considering getting WoW, how big are the updates and is the game dial-up friendly?

I'm seriously lookin' into Wow too. It'll be my first MMO and I'll probably have to get a job to pay the dues, but I'm willing. So yeah...what I'm trying to say is, this info would be helpful. Although, I doubt there's that many people in the forum yet so this question might go unanswered for a while >_<

WoW is a pretty great game, I played it for almost a year. I was definetly hooked on it from day one. Gameplay is awesome, scenery is just, wow.
As for the updates and the dial-up friendly part... I doubt it. Updates are huge, especially if you're just getting the game (though I think they added a 5th CD to the installation package that brings the updates, not sure). Either way, it's totally worth it. The only reason I quit is because my parents didn't wanna pay the 15 bucks a month.

By the way, I'm currently playing Guild Wars pretty frequently, joined this heavy RP guild (Yes, I <3 RP) and it's got me hooked. Other MMO's I've played include WoW (like stated above) and NWN (now that's old.). From memory I can't remember that many MMO's that I've played, though I know there's been more than a few.

EQ2 took me 123 Hours to update when I first got it. Guild Wars is probably the most dial-up friendly MMO out there, though.

Good, because I was considering Guild Wars when I realized that my lazy ass wouldn't be able to get a job if it tried.

I have a WoW account, and play on Perenolde (or something like that) with a few friends, but TES4:O has eaten my time these days. I used to play Guildwars, but... I honestly can't find any enjoyment in that game.
A few I did enjoy a lot would be EVE Online, Ragnarok Online (at least it used to be good, dunno about these days... been a long time)... and that's it I think. Yeah... EVE is pretty nice if you ever consider getting into one.
