Hi, I'm agunstupid665 and I'll be your moderator. This is the FPS discussion board, where we'll discuss first person shooters such as Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green, etc.
I've recently dived back into Half-Life 2, due to all the triple-a mods avaliable for it, such as Day Hard, Combine Destiny, Garrys Mod, and Many others. I've also been dabbling in Deus Ex and Far Cry again as well, although my main thing now is the excellent "Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green" by Brainbox games.
Speaking of LOTD, I would like to welcome my brothers from Undeadgames who took the time to join. I hope this forum is as successful as Undeadgames!

FPS's... wow. What -don't- I play. I've been a fan of FPS's forever. The first one I actually owned was Quake III. Then I've played tons of 'em. Currently I'm hooked on Battlefield 2 and CS:S (even though it's not that new). I enjoy playing lots of genres though, but FPS is defiently one of my all-time favorites.

I'm not super huge on FPS', but I knew Jason was so I made this the first board I created (YOU'RE WELCOME!!!).
Every once in a while, you need a break from the sometimes slow, tedious RPG genre so you can blow some sh*t up. I used to play BF: 'Nam a little and I must say...Black? AWESOME!!! I'm not sure if you're big Console shooters, but that game if Fuggin' awesome.
As far as I'm concerned, the best FPS of all time is Perfect Dark for the N64. I loved that game and used to play it everyday. I'd defend it almost as ruthlessly as KH. I care not what anyone says...Perfect Dark >>> Goldeneye.

Perfect Dark was WAY better than Goldeneye. I'm playing it on an emulator right now. lol

I still have Goldeneye. Only time I played Perfect Dark was with my cousin... and that wasn't too often.

Personally the biggest FPS in my life is CS:S because, well, it's just so great. Yeah... personally I'm looking forward to the MMOFPS, Huxley or whatever... that'll be interesting.

CS:S Rocks, so does 1.6 and CZ. Even on dial-up my ping isn't that high (around 175-250 on a good server). Steam is a good app, too. I was so opposed to it at first, but once I used it I was like "Bring on this electronic distribution, I'm ready!"

I'm glad to see someone with a ping bigger than mine (no offense). I'm always on like 120-220 when I play.

Whenever broadband comes to my area I'm getting the fastest package I can, hopefully I can get 8mbs Download and 4mbs upload for around $50.00 a month. Then I won't lag no matter what server I'm on.
